Help Refugees is a grassroots collective that has created a more dynamic form of aid in Calais and Greece, where even seasoned aid workers admit traditional models have failed. With the help of tens of thousands of volunteers, Help Refugees fund more than 80 projects across Europe, making them the biggest facilitator of grassroots humanitarian aid on the continent. The film, directed by Adam Patterson, forms part of 'Beyond the Screen' a series of short films commissioned by Facebook to champion groups that use their platform to overcome adversity and achieve social change in the real world.
